Rumor: Yoka to Acquire ZdFace in H1 2011

Tencent Tech, 12/27/10

Chinese high-end fashion portal Yoka.com is reportedly in discussions to acquire Shanghai-based fashion and cosmetics information and e-commerce platform provider ZdFace, though both firms refuse to comment. According to a source close to Yoka, the two companies may reach a final agreement in H1 2011.

ZdFace founder Hu Fei would not comment on the merger, saying only that the company plans to relocate from Nanchang, Jiangxi province to Beijing in 2011.

Established in August 2006, Yoka has received funding from Trends Media Group and IDG. IDG Asia president Hugo Shong serves as chairman of Yoka.

ZdFace, established in 2007, currently receives over 6 mln daily pageviews and averages more than 1.5 mln active users daily from unique IPs. In 2008, ZdFace recorded USD 10 mln in revenue.
