Rumor: Taobao Co-Founder Joins Shanda Online

An industry source has revealed that Li Shunshun, one of the founders of Hangzhou-based C2C & B2C e-commerce site Taobao as well as the website's former director, recently joined Chinese online media provider and online game operator Shanda Interactive (Nasdaq: SNDA). Li will reportedly serve as assistant to the president at Shanda Interactive's online payment and service platform, Shanda Online, where he will be in charge of operations.

Li reportedly worked at Alibaba for nine years before joining Shanda Online.

Editor's Note: A report by DoNews quoted a Shanda Online spokesperson as confirming that Li had joined the company. Taobao declined to comment on the story.
