Rumor: Shanda Games Poaches Softstar GM

Industry insiders report that Yao Zhuangxian, GM at Beijing-based game developer Softstar, recently met in secret with Tan Qunzhao, chairman of Shanda Games (Nasdaq: GAME), to discuss arrangements for Yao to join Shanda Games.
Sources say that Yao and Tan have reached an agreement, but that no timetable has yet been decided upon. Some theorize that Yao could join the company once Softstar's single-player RPG Chinese Paladin 5 is released.
Other reports say that after joining Shanda Games, Yao will most likely serve as an adviser to the company, reporting directly to Tan, rather than heading up any new projects.
