Rumor: Seasky Transitions from Game Developer to Operator

DoNews, 2/11/11

Chinese online game developer Chengdu Seasky Digital Entertainment will soon complete its transition from game developer to operator and begin operating its own games, according to an industry source. The source claims that the company had developed the new strategy in late 2010, and by January had finished restructuring its online game business, splitting it into two core businesses - R&D and operations - to handle game projects. Seasky's future game releases will be developed in a single project integrating both R&D and operations.
