SARFT: China's 2010 DTV Subscribers Reach 88 Mln

According to official figures from China's State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT), China's cable TV subscribers reached 187.3 mln in 2010, while cable DTV subscribers reached 87.98 mln. The number of radio stations reached 227; TV stations, 247; radio & TV broadcasting stations, 2,120; educational TV stations, 44. 436 TV dramas totaling 14,685 episodes, 221,456 minutes of cartoon programming, 526 dramatic films, and 95 science, documentary, animated, and special films were produced in 2010. National radio penetration reached 96.78% and national TV penetration reached 97.62% in 2010.
