MIIT to Support Software, IC Industries During 12th Five-Year Plan

Zhou Zixue, chief economist of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), recently said that MIIT, in coordination with other government agencies, will further improve support policies for China's software and integrated circuit (IC) industries during China's 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015). MIIT plans support rapid growth of small and medium-sized enterprises in the industry by encouraging mergers, acquisitions, and IPOs.
