Rumor: 21ViaNet to IPO in US

According to a source within the banking industry, Chinese IDC service provider 21ViaNet (China) is preparing to IPO on a US-based stock exchange, and could potentially match Chinese online video site Youku's (NYSE: YOKU) IPO proceeds of USD 232 mln.

21ViaNet, established in 1999, is an internet data center (IDC) service provider. In October 2010, the company underwent a strategic reorganization and established 21ViaNet Group as well as cloud computing service provider CloudEx Inc., with 21ViaNet (China) and CloudEx becoming wholly-owned subsidiaries of 21ViaNet Group.
