Rumor: Kingsoft to Spin Off Office Software Business

According to an industry source, Chinese software developer Kingsoft (3888.HK) is in the final stages of spinning off its office software business and will make an official announcement in June. The new company, "Kingsoft Office," will concentrate on moving its office suite products to the Internet. Kingsoft senior vice president Ge Ke said that the company will release a mobile version of WPS Office in June.
