LMTW, 8/01/11

CCTV's national online TV station, CNTV, recently issued a statement announcing that it would make large-scale efforts to protect its intellectual property rights from infringement by IPTV service platforms offering unauthorized broadcasts of CCTV programming, beginning with lawsuits against Jiangsu Telecom and Guangdong Telecom, against both of which it is currently amassing evidence.

The statement also said that under the terms of CCTV's licensing agreements, CNTV enjoys the exclusive right to broadcast all of CCTV's programming over new media platforms including internet, mobile, and IPTV networks.
