Motorola China H1 2011 Smartphone Shipments Reach 2 Mln Units

Frank Meng (Meng Pu), senior VP of global mobile device manufacturer Motorola Mobility, revealed recently that the company shipped more than 2 mln smartphones in China in H1 2011, the same number of terminals shipped by Motorola China throughout all of 2010. The company estimates that China smartphone shipments for 2011 will double last year's quantity. Motorola China's growth is based largely on the steady release of new products, as well as improvements made to the company's retail channels within China.
