Rumor: China Mobile Claims 4G Transition Will Take 5 Years

China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) revealed at a recent internal meeting that it will require five years to complete the transition from 3G TD-SCDMA to 4G TD-LTE, according to an industry insider. China Mobile also aims to have a significant number of TD-LTE terminals available within approximately three years.
