Chinese laptop, PC, and handset manufacturer Lenovo's (0992.HK) upcoming Android ThinkPad tablet will feature an Ericsson F5521GW HSPA+ Evolution mobile broadband module, offering downstream speeds of up to 21 Mbps and upstream speeds of up to 5.8 Mbps. The product is slated to launch in Q4 2011.
Lenovo has been using Ericsson HSPA modules with 7.2 Mbps downstream speeds in its ThinkPad portables since 2008. The new F5521GW HSPA+ module will bring faster connections to 3G-enabled ThinkPads.
