Jiangsu IPTV Releases Two New Casual Games

China Computer World, 9/27/11

Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation and Jiangsu Telecom's joint IPTV service has released two games, "Da De Shu" (Whack-a-Mole) and "Qiu Qiu Jin Men," from Beijing-based game developer Lucky Bird Studios on its IPTV gaming platform. Lucky Bird Studios develops games for smart TV sets, bi-directional cable DTV devices, IPTV, and Android devices.

According to Lucky Bird, chess-and-card and casual games dominate IPTV gaming because it is difficult to deploy large-scale games on IPTV platforms. In light of the fact that TV's are usually located in the home, Lucky Bird designs its games with three user segments in mind: children, seniors, and housewives. Lucky Bird plans to release a new game each month.
