China's M2M Market to Reach RMB 250 Bln in 2011

Ye Tianchun, director of the China Internet of Things R&D Center (CIOTC), recently disclosed at the Internet of Things Conference China 2011 in Shanghai that China's M2M market will reach RMB 250 bln in 2011, and RMB 750 bln by 2015 with a CAGR over 30%.

Ye added that to date M2M applications are quite narrow, with security applications holding the largest market share, followed by energy and vehicular traffic, while logistics, healthcare, and mobile payment have relatively small shares of the market.
