Simon Leung, Microsoft global senior VP and chairman and CEO for the Greater China region, said recently at the semi-annual China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) in Guangzhou that the company plans to open a cloud computing center in China, adding that Guangdong is under consideration as a possible location.
According to a source within the operator, an executive in China Mobile's (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) terminal division recently revealed during an internal meeting that, based on data from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), 3G users will account for 15% of total mobile users in China by Q1 2012.
