BCD Semiconductor Q3 2011 Profit Down 46% YoY

Chinese analog semiconductor device manufacturer BCD Semiconductor (Nasdaq: BCDS) has announced its financial results for the three months ended September 30, 2011. Q3 2011 revenue was USD 39.1 mln, up 1.6% QoQ from USD 38.5 mln in Q2 2011 and up 1.3% YoY from USD 38.6 mln in Q3 2010.

Net income for the period was USD 4.0 mln, down 27.3% QoQ from USD 5.5 mln in Q2 2011 and down 45.9% YoY from USD 7.4 mln in Q3 2010.

Revenue for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2011 is expected to be in the range of USD 30 to USD 34 mln, representing a decline of approximately 5.0% to a growth of 7.7% YoY when compared Q4 2010, and a decline of approximately 23.3% to 13.0% QoQ when compared to Q3 2011.
