Rumor: B2B2C QQ Buy Records Nearly 20K First-day Orders

Industry sources have revealed that Chinese internet giant Tencent's (0700.HK) B2B2C platform QQ Buy processed nearly 20,000 orders on December 12, the site's first official day of operations.
A spokesperson for Chinese online consumer electronics retailer and QQ Buy partner Icson has said that Icson surpassed RMB 2 mln in sales that day, 1,000% higher than an average day's sales, and a spokesperson for Beijing-based apparel e-commerce firm Okaybuy said that QQ Buy nearly doubled the firm's orders during QQ Buy's trial operations. Guo Feng, CEO of vertical B2C diamond retailer Kela, said that his site now receives more than 1,000 orders each day from QQ Buy, and according to CEO Zhang Jianxiu, online cosmetics retailer Tiantian.com received over 2,000 orders from QQ Buy on its opening day.
