China Encourages Foreign Investment in IPv6, NGN

China's State Council has approved the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and Ministry of Commerce's 2011 Revised Foreign Investment Guidelines, which encourage foreign investment in IPv6 next-generation networks, broadband network equipment (including EPON, GPON, and WDM-PON), and next-gen DSL chips and equipment. The new guidelines, which take effect on January 30, 2012, replace the previous edition published in 2007.
