China Unicom 2011 IDC Revenue Up 40% YoY

Kang Nan, VP of China Unicom's (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) national internet data center (IDC) operations, said recently that Unicom's 2011 IDC revenue exceeded RMB 2.2 bln, up 40% YoY. Kang said that at present China Unicom operates 196 IDC server rooms in 135 major cities, covering 29 provinces in China. As of the end of 2011, China Unicom's IDC server rooms had a total capacity of 37,000 server cabinets and an international gateway bandwidth of nearly 5 TB.
