G-Lot, SMG to Launch Lottery TV Channel

Shenzhen G-Lot Technology, a subsidiary of Hong Kong-based lottery software provider China Netcom Technology Holdings (8071.HK), recently signed an agreement with Shanghai Media Group's (SMG) lottery TV channel operator Jinse Pingdao Media to establish an interactive TV lottery joint venture. G-Lot will be responsible for technology development, including establishing a database and back-end operating system. Jinse Pingdao will promote the service on its "Xingfu Cai" lottery satellite TV channel and related media websites.

The Xingfu Cai channel is broadcast in over 300 cities, reaching 15 mln viewers. In July 2011, G-Lot signed an agreement with Guangzhou Luyin Investment to jointly develop cable DTV lottery programming, launching the "Caimin Zaixian" channel which already reaches over 80 mln viewers in 24 provinces and over 300 cities.
