Rumor: Netease Licenses RPG from Blizzard

Donews, 2/13/12

Chinese internet company Netease (Nasdaq: NTES) has licensed game developer Activision-Blizzard's RPG Diablo III, according to CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets, although the research brokerage did not provide evidence to support the claim.

Although neither Netease nor Activision-Blizzard have made any announcement, Netease received permission from the US developer to launch China's official Diablo series fan site, which was interpreted as preparatory step to launch the game.
