Chinese Internet search giant Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) and Singapore's Institute for Infocomm Research (I²R), a member of the Singapore government's Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (A*STAR), have agreed to set up a joint laboratory in Singapore where research and development will focus initially on underlying network technologies such as natural language processing of Southeast Asian Languages.
