China Unicom Cancels Call Credit Validity Period Limits

China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) has announced that as of March 15 it will no longer release mobile account charge cards with validity period limits. Starting May 1, Unicom will also cancel validity period limits on credit balances for pre-paid services with monthly plan fees or minimum monthly fee requirements.

On January 1, China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) canceled validity period limits for new users and gave existing users the option to cancel validity period limits for their account balances.
