LeTV Launches Smart TV App Platform

Chinese online video site LeTV (Leshi) (300104.SZ) has launched its "LeTV App Market" for smart TV sets, which allows users to download, manage and upgrade apps on their smart TVs. Sohu (Nasdaq: SOHU), Renren (NYSE: RENN), Sina (Nasdaq: SINA), Shanda Interactive, and other software and game providers have already joined the platform. LeTV said it will partner with third-party app developers and offer them a revenue share. LeTV also released its "LeTV Developer Assistance Plan" aimed at providing financial support to app developers.
