Suning, Samsung Jointly Target 50% Sales Growth, 3/31/12

Chinese consumer electronics and home appliances retailer Suning (002024.SZ) and Samsung Electronics have signed an updated 2012 annual joint business plan for cooperation on all product categories, included among which are TV sets, digital and communications products, and computers. The 2012 agreement sets a growth target of 50% for Samsung's Suning sales. In order to reach the target, the two companies will collaborate on product strategy, sales channel development, supply chain optimization, and joint marketing. Kim Young-Ha, president of Samsung Greater China, has revealed that in 2012 Samsung China sales are expected to account for 20% of Samsung's total global market share.
