Beijing-based B2C e-commerce platform 360Buy today announced that customers who apply to return products for non-quality reasons within seven days of purchase will be required to pay RMB 8 if 360Buy picks up the product at the customer's address. Customers will be charged RMB 30 for disinfecting returned apparel. Customers will be charged RMB 50 for the return of white goods such as refrigerators and air conditioners. However, if a customer returns a product for quality reasons, 360Buy will still provide free home pickup service.
360Buy previously did not charge pickup fees. A 360Buy spokesperson said that the change in policy was due to the recent rise in domestic oil prices and logistics costs.
