Sohu Responds to Rumors of PPS Acquisition

In response to outside rumors of Chinese internet firm Sohu's (Nasdaq: SOHU) intentions to take over Shanghai-based P2P video service provider PPS (PPStream), Sohu Video senior strategic director Yu Tao commented on the fact that Sohu Video has always been open minded about cooperation with various enterprises in the industry and would not rule out the acquisition of complementary video businesses in the future.
PPS CEO Xu Weifeng denied the rumors, however, saying that there had been no clear discussions of an acquisition.
