Henan AIV-BEX Technology Starts OLED Project

Consumer electronics manufacturer AIVtech International Group, the Henan Xinyan Industrial Zone, and Shenzhen AIV-BEX Technology have established a joint venture, Henan AIV-BEX Technology, responsible for OLED manufacturing. Total investment in the new company is RMB 10 bln. The first phase of the project is a RMB 3 bln investment in glass substrate production (a basic component of OLED liquid crystal displays). Total substrate production capacity is expected to reach an annual output of 360,000 units, for an annual value of RMB 10 bln and taxable profits of over RMB 3 bln annually. The first phase will be completed at the end of 2012.
The second phase of the project will see an investment of RMB 7 bln and is expected to reach completion in 2014. Upon completion, Henan AIV-BEX technology expects to become a leading OLED display manufacturer in China, achieving "communication technology development, handset manufacturing, and sales" supply chain integration. The company expects to realize total revenues of RMB 50 bln from the project.
