Baidu Transfers Games GM to Hao123

17173.com, 9/13/12

Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) recently transferred Wang Fei, general manager of the company's gaming division, to the newly established Hao123 division. Baidu VP Wang Zhan will now be directly responsible for the gaming division.

Wang Fei was reportedly transferred as a move in Baidu's ongoing competition with rival internet company Qihoo 360's (NYSE: QIHU) new search engine. It is not yet known whether Wang Zhan will personally oversee Baidu's gaming division or whether he will bring on additional personnel.

Baidu's gaming division is currently split between a joint-operations department for browser games and a department for exclusively licensed games.
