Baidu Expects 2012 Ad Revenue to Exceed RMB 20 Bln

Wang Zhan, VP of sales at Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU), revealed today that the company estimates total ad revenue to exceed RMB 20 bln in 2012.

Total ad revenue was RMB 14 bln in 2011, according to Wang.

Editor's Note: Baidu's total unaudited 2011 online marketing revenues were approximately RMB 14.49 bln (Baidu also recorded another RMB 11 mln in revenue from other services), meaning Wang Zhan's estimate for 2012 would represent year-on-year online marketing revenue growth of at least 38%.
