Baidu Updates Mobile Map App with Cinema Listings

Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) today released version 4.1 of its Baidu Maps mobile application for iOS and Android devices, incorporating movie showtime search capabilities. In addition to providing users with descriptions and schedules for film showings at nearby cinemas, the app also offers coupons and group buy deals on tickets. The updated app also offers group buy push notifications on local deals, and allows users to post comments and images and share offers with friends. The app provides subway maps for five cities - Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong - as well as utilizing transportation maps incorporated into iOS 6's Apple Maps.
