17u.cn Launches Free Airport Pick-Up Service

Sootoo.com, 11/20/12

Chinese online travel service provider 17u.cn recently announced that it had partnered with an auto rental company to offer free airport pick-up and drop-off services for certain flights booked through 17u.cn.

17u.cn CEO Wu Zhixiang said that the service would initially be offered in trials in major cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. If consumer response proves positive, 17u.cn will expand the service nationwide. Pick-up and drop-off services will be provided by the company's longstanding car-rental partners.

Editor's Note: 17u.cn's free airport pick-up service follows the launch of a similar service by rival Ctrip: "Ctrip Offers Free Shuttle to Customers in Lijiang," MD 10/11/12 issue.
