Netease Mobile News Client User Base Exceeds 40 Mln

William Ding, CEO of Chinese internet and mobile value-added service provider Netease (Nasdaq: NTES), announced at the Netease Mobile Media Summit in Beijing yesterday that the Netease mobile news client has been installed 40.76 mln times, averaging 1.7 new accounts per second with active users doubling each quarter. Local news coverage is now available for 320 large and medium-sized cities. The app is currently Netease's most successful. Netease currently has over 30 mobile products and services, with total installs reaching nearly 200 mln.
