Xiaomi Game Center Hosts Android MMORPG Debut

Beijing-based Android handset developer Xiaomi's game center recently hosted the debut of the Android version of Shanghai Xindong Development's turn-based side-scrolling MMORPG Shenxian Dao. Xiaomi co-founder Hong Feng said that the game center is part of an interactive ecosystem that includes Xiaomi's MIUI mobile OS, Xiaomi Store, Xiaomi forums, and MiTalk mobile IM application. According to an industry source, the game center will develop along the lines of Apple's Game Center, emphasizing social gaming functionality and integrating SDK resources.

Xiaomi Game Center launched in September 2012, but has not been heavily publicized. The platform currently only supports mobile game downloading, installation and support, and has yet to offer other social features.
