Rumor: CICC Senior Analyst to Join Baidu as CSO

Jin Yu, an analyst at China International Capital Corporation, posted a personal microblog update on February 21 reading, "Looking back over the past nine years, all I feel is gratitude. I'm setting out on a new voyage now — let's everyone wish each other luck." A source inside Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) revealed that an updated internal contact list at Baidu shows the name "Jin Yu" under the office of the president.

A source inside CICC said that February 22 would be Jin's last day at the company, adding that Jin will take a position in Baidu's strategy research division and could be appointed chief strategy officer at the company.

When contacted by phone, Jin declined to discuss his departure from CICC.
