Rumor: Gamewave to Operate Gome.com's Gaming Business

An industry source has revealed that Chinese home appliance and consumer electronics retailer Gome's (0493.HK) Gome.com B2C e-commerce site is currently in talks with Beijing-based browser game developer and operator Gamewave Interactive to hand over operation of Gome.com's online and mobile gaming business to Gamewave.

Gome.com began development of its online gaming business in H1 2012, launching a game channel on the site in early 2013 and establishing a gaming division to support promotion of gaming products on the site.

Gamewave will provide operation services for games on the game.gome.com.cn channel, while Gome.com will direct user traffic to the platform. Browser-based ARPG Zhen Ming, developed by Jin Nuo, is now in beta testing on the platform.
