iFeng.com, 4/01/14

Beijing-based B2C e-commerce company Jingdong's (JD.com) financial services subsidiary Chinabank has released a mobile payment app, Chinabank Wallet ("Wangyin Qianbao"), currently only available for Android users. The new mobile payment app, which will soon be released for iOS users, is Jingdong's first mobile payment product.

Chinabank Wallet will be operated through Jingdong's Chinabank subsidiary, and will focus on third-party payment, personal finance management, investment, and other financial services.

Liu Changhong, head of Jingdong's financial services department, has stated that the new app is a part of Jingdong's O2O (online to offline) development strategy. According to Liu, the app will support payment on Jingdong's mobile site, as well as a host of other platforms.
