UCWeb Launches PC, Smart TV Browsers

Beijing Business Today, 4/11/14

Chinese mobile browser developer UCWeb has launched PC and smart TV versions of the company's UC Browser. The PC version of UC Browser was jointly developed by a team from Chinese e-commerce conglomerate Alibaba Group's Taobao Browser and UCWeb.

He Xiaopeng, president of UCWeb, has revealed that the company will partner with Alibaba in the future to offer e-commerce, payment, and financial services integrated with the mobile, tablet, TV, and PC versions of UC Browser. Mr. He also disclosed that the company anticipates its TV browser to become the number one TV browser in China in 2014, and its PC browser to become one of the most used browsers in the country.
