Sogou Launches WeChat Official Accounts Search Service

Chinese internet firm Sohu's (Nasdaq: SOHU) online search subsidiary Sogou today launched a "WeChat Search" channel on the company's online search page and mobile search app. Through the new channel, users can search for content hosted on WeChat official accounts, which are operated by enterprise and celebrity users on Tencent's (0700.HK) WeChat mobile messaging app. Search results include WeChat official account names, account verification information, QR codes, and official account-posted news and articles.

Sogou has revealed that the company is preparing to provide search services for all Tencent products moving forward, as well as deepen its cooperation with WeChat.
