Plastic Surgery Marketplace Yuemei Lands USD 7-digit Series A

Beijing-based Weikang Hengmei Information Technology, operator of online plastic surgery marketplace Yuemei.com, has raised USD 7-digit Series A financing from Ceyuan Ventures. The funding is intended to help build the website's team, improve its mobile app and support promotional activities.
Yuemei was originally launched in February 2012 as an online portal providing medical specialist information, facilitating interactions between doctors and patients, and sharing information between people interested in plastic surgery. In September 2013, the website was re-launched with a new O2O model allowing consumers to set up plastic surgery consultations. To date, Yuemei has facilitated more than RMB 30 mln in medical transactions for over 2,000 people.
There are 1,125 plastic surgeons registered on the website, with over 2,158 verified plastic surgery clinics recorded on the platform. The site's Q&A section has seen nearly 60,000 people have their plastic surgery-related questions answered by medical professionals on the site. The platform is available for PC, mobile and Tencent's (0700.HK) WeChat mobile messaging app.
