Spring Rain Launches Healthcare TV App

Beijing-based mobile healthcare app developer Spring Rain Software ("Chunyu Tianxia") recently launched a TV version of its healthcare app Spring Rain Doctor ("Chunyu Yisheng").
The app allows users to watch Spring Rain's health programming on their smart TVs, seek consultation regarding health issues, and book phone consultation with doctors at public hospitals. They can also find their closest pharmacy and hospital.
The first two core functions to be launched by the app are self symptom checking and TV health segments. The first of these is divided into six main categories - pregnancy, gynecology, maternity, middle and old age, traditional Chinese medicine and mental health.
For its TV health segments, Spring Rain has paired with medical specialists to provide exclusive content. Users can, via their TVs, connect with health-related content of interest to them.
According to Chen Pei, a spokesperson for the company, Spring Rain's medical team is currently working on a video conference consultation system, which is slated for launch this year. It will allow users to benefit from in-home consultations with medical experts via their smart TVs.
