Wuzhen Internet Hospital to Install 1 Mln Healthcare Terminals in China

Wuzhen Internet Hospital, an online and mobile medical consultation platform jointly established by the municipal governments of Tongxiang and Wuzhen (both in Zhejiang Province) and We Doctor Group, has announced plans to establish 1 mln Wuzhen Internet Hospital remote internet-connected full-service healthcare terminals at pharmacies and community health centers across China. Wuzhen Internet Hospital's focus will be on getting 460,000 drug stores connected to the system, which provides users with hospital booking, remote diagnosis and treatment, and digital prescription services. Digital prescriptions from Wuzhen Internet Hospital can be downloaded to terminals at drug stores to directly purchase medicine.
We Doctor Group is reportedly connected with the hospital information systems of 1,900 hospitals, which includes more than 200,000 doctors with job titles of at least vice director. Wuzhen Internet Hospital will not only not take commissions from pharmacies on drug sales, but will actually subsidize pharmacies 5-15% on medical fees and 50% on lab fees originating from the remote admission station. Wuzhen Internet Hospital's plan has three parts, as explained by the hospital's pharmaceutical affairs director Lu Zigui. Firstly, Wuzhen Internet Hospital will establish a link between doctors and medicine resources at pharmacies. Second, Wuzhen Internet Hospital will further partner with pharmacies on digital patient case history and chronic disease management. Third, Wuzhen Internet Hospital plans to partner with pharmacies on membership marketing, supply chain, and value added services.
