Big Data Solutions Provider Mininglamp Raises RMB 200 Mln Series B

Beijing-based big data analysis solutions provider Mininglamp Software System recently announced that it completed RMB 200 mln Series B funding this month, led by Sequoia Capital China with participation by Share Capital, network security solutions provider Surfilter Network Technology (300311.SZ), and Heaven-Sent Capital Management Group (833044.NEEQ).
Mininglamp, established in April 2014, specializes in big data business solutions. Its products span the full big data industry chain and include the secure big data platform MDP ("Mininglamp Data Platform"), distributed data mining system "DataInsight," and data link and relationship analysis system "SCOPA." The company has applied for 11 patents related to big data technologies. Over the past two years, Mininglamp has provided big data solutions for the security, finance, taxation, precision marketing, and data network industries.
Mininglamp said that, after the funding round, it will focus on:
1. Strengthening its machine learning technologies through self-learning and iterative improvements.
2. Developing the SCOPA relationship analysis system and pushing for its use in public security applications.
3. Expanding its business to provide more services to the finance, taxation, precision marketing, and data network industries.
