Today's Headlines Completes Acquisition of AV License Holder Yuncheng Yangguang

Beijing-based Bytedance Technology, operator of online and mobile news portal platform Today's Headlines, recently completed its acquisition of Shanxi-based Yuncheng Yangguang Culture Media, operator of online short video platform Yangguang Kuanpin.

According to official business registration information, Yuncheng Yangguang Culture Media is a Shanxi-based company licensed to broadcast audio-visual programming online. The company's direct parent entity is Beijing-based Shanxing Technology, which is now a subsidiary of Bytedance Technology.

The video content section of the Today's Headlines website and mobile app now redirects to the Yangguang Kuanpin platform.

In response to a question from an online user about why the Today's Headlines video section now redirects to Yangguang Kuanpin, a representative for Today's Headlines said that the platform has signed a partnership agreement with Yangguang Kuanpin, according to which Today's Headlines video links shared by PC and mobile users will now be hosted by Yangguang Kuanpin.
