Power Bank Maker Xiaodian Taps Foxconn, BYD for Power Bank Production

Beijing-based Yidianyuan Network Technology, operator of smart power bank brand Xiaodian, recently announced a strategic partnership with Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn and battery and handset component manufacturer BYD Company (1211.HK) focusing on power bank production.

Tang Yongbo, founder and CEO of Xiaodian, said that the company will integrate its upstream and downstream resources with Foxconn and BYD to open up production lines for Xiaodian smart power banks. Foxconn and BYD will also coordinate with Xiaodian on its expansion strategy to reach new cities, and will identify high-quality manufacturing partners in eastern and southern China to meet Xiaodian's inventory requirements.

Tang Yongbo said that with the support from Foxconn and BYD, Xiaodian will more than double its existing shared power bank production base, greatly increasing its production scale.
