DJI Denies Rumored Acquisition of Drone Maker 'Zero Tech'

Wang Fan, PR director of Shenzhen-based consumer drone maker DJI Technology, and Yang Jianjun, CEO of Beijing-based unmanned intelligent systems and unmanned aerial vehicle system developer Zero UAV Intelligent Technology (Zero Tech), have both denied rumors that DJI has acquired Zero Tech.

Online media outlet Caijing reported yesterday that DJI had acquired its competitor Zero Tech, but that the specifics of the acquisition had not been revealed.

In addition, Yang Jianjun confirmed to online business news portal Huxiu.com that Zero Tech had just received funding from an investment arm of consumer electronics giant Samsung and that an announcement will be made soon regarding the specifics of the funding.
