Intra-city Express Courier Platform Shansong Completes New Funding

Beijing-based Tongcheng Biying Technology, operator of intra-city express courier service Shansong (Quick Express Delivery), has completed a new round of funding led by WestSummit Capital. Details on the amount of funding received were not disclosed.

Users can place orders through the Shansong website, app, or public account on Tencent's (0700.HK) WeChat mobile messaging app to arrange for a local express courier to pick up the order and deliver their item to the recipient.

Shansong promises to deliver goods within 60 minutes for locations within 5 km and an additional 30 minutes for each additional 5 km.

Shansong is available in 37 cities and has 35.32 mln users.
