Online K12 Education Tutoring Service 'Haiketang' Wins RMB 50 Mln Series A

Shanghai-based Angli Zhilifang Education, operator of online K-12 education tutoring platform Haiketang, recently announced the completion of RMB 50 mln in Series A funding, led by Toutoushidao Investment Fund and with participation from Sinovation Ventures and Taoli Capital.
Haiketang is an education platform offering online education and classes taught by famous professors based on interactive video technology. Haiketang aims to become a leading brand in one-on-one K-12 online tutoring.
Students can improve their grades by taking online courses through Haiketang, and by availing themselves of the complete question bank system, staged learning achievement tests, and personalized tutoring solutions. Every student on Haiketang is assigned a subject teacher, class leader, psychological counselor, and course curriculum specialist.
Haiketang currently has monthly operating revenue in excess of RMB 10 mln and students in more than 500 cities.
Haiketang plans to improve the platform for PC and tablet devices, and improve the course system, said CEO Ji Yi. Haiketang also plans to continue building partnerships with brands and across industries to mine beneficial resources and build offline experience stores to create O2O connections and meet the needs of parents and students.
