Intra-city Express Delivery App 'Mr. Wind' Completes USD 8-digit Series C

Hangzhou-based Gezixiang Network, operator of mobile intra-city express delivery app Feng Xiansheng (literally "Mr Wind"), has completed USD 8-digit Series C funding from Daosheng Capital and Jolly Information Technology, operator of B2C e-commerce apparel site Jollychic.com. The funding will be used for staff recruitment and improvements to products and services.
Feng Xiansheng is a short-distance, express logistics platform mainly servicing takeout delivery businesses, but has recently expanded into providing e-commerce delivery services. The platform employs full-time delivery personnel and uses a centrally processed order dispatching system rather than a crowdsourced system where delivery personnel compete for orders.
Feng Xiansheng CEO Zheng Feike said that the platform supports short-distance, point-to-point delivery, as well as larger truck shipments sent to a specific location where goods can then be further distributed via two-wheeled or three-wheeled vehicles.
Gezixiang previously won USD 16 mln in Series B funding from Lightspeed China Partners, Matrix Partners China, Daosheng Capital, and Puhua Capital.
