Smartphone, PC ODM Huaqin Telecom Wins RMB 870 Mln Series A

Shanghai-based mobile phone developer and manufacturer Huaqin Telecom Technology has announced completion of RMB 870 mln in Series A funding led by Intel Capital and Hua Capital with participation by Beijing-based Qingkong Jinxin Capital Management, Summitview Capital, Walden International, Northern Light Venture Capital (NLVC), and Zhilu Capital.

Huaqin was established in 2005 and develops products including smartphones, tablets, laptop computers, servers, and IoT devices. As of 2016 the company has shipped more than 300 mln units including international sales to more than 300 mln consumers worldwide, in more than 140 countries and regions in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Europe.

Qiu Wensheng, president of Huaqin Telecom Technology, said that in addition to smart terminals and server products, the company is developing products in new application domains including smart POS systems, AR and VR, and automotive electronics.
